As a member of the Ohio State Trappers’ Association Inc. I will...

...obey all state trapping regulations and support the Ohio Division of Wildlife and its Wildlife Officers.

...obtain the landowner’s permission before trapping on their land.

...check traps daily and trap as humanely as possible by using the proper size and type of trap.

...avoid setting traps where non-target species may be caught.

...assist farmers and landowners who are experiencing problems with furbearers.

...responsibly harvest prime furbearers and leave an adequate number for the future.

...not disturb the traps of another trapper or remove a furbearing animal from their traps.

...report any violations in trapping regulations.

...support and promote trapper education programs.

...promote a better environment for all wildlife.
