Anchoring traps in clay

Garyoutlaw - 29-8-2017 at 05:05 AM

My new trapping area is largely clay or rocky soil so am looking for the best option to keep my MB-550's anchored - I have been a huge fan of the Fox Hollow Super stakes in harvested corn/bean fields but tend to always leave a nasty trap circle so had considered going to a shock spring system.

The super stakes will work in clay. I would always try to test my anchoring system out at new areas if possible before season as the worst thing on opening day is the walk of shame back to the truck because your system didnt work.

Your not going to get rid of catch circles unless you start putting 6+ feet of chain on your traps.

X 2. Plus a catch circle is showing the land owner Your doing what you said you would do. Catching critters, and helping him out. John
