A little history on my farm.


kinda neat to own a piece of ground with some history.

yes i still have the bell as mentioned in the story but as mentioned in the caption i don't believe it is the actual bell. also the large rock pictured is a rock my dad dug out of the field and pushed into the woods. he hit it every time we plowed. there are 2 rocks i believe are the headstones about 30 yards back in the woods.

That is pretty neat. You got a back yard full of dead settlers! Is the well still there or filled in? Ever thought of doing enough excavating to mark it all out?

i dug down about 20 to 25 feet and gave up. still solid. dad filled it back in for me.

oh yeah. always heard stories about it as a kid growing up just down the road from here. by chance i ended up with it.there is one of the ohio shaped historical plaques in my front yard.
