Opening day

Today is my fathers 80th birthday. So I will not get many traps out today. Might hang some cable around the pasture later. Could get a mink set in by the house. If this weather does come in l, tonight will be good for animal movement!!
Good luck everyone!

No traps out for me the last 2 days. Fixed a water line today in the fat cattle pen, winterized a few things i forgot about and checked on my aunt. Took auger down from grain bin so bu Thursday i should be able to hang cable then next week set some footholds.
I do know the deer were moving today. Bucks trailing after doe's, doe's out eating, seems to be a good day for hunting other than the wind .
How is everyone else doing so far?

I made an executive decision and decided to wait for this weather to pass!

I usally don't set until the weekend before thanksgiving, but the grandson is chomping at the bit. I had a call yesterday from a lady thats having trouble with muskrats in the pond so it looks like this saturday to put traps in. Good luck to all.
