Got me an otter today!

From what I have heard it is only the second otter caught in Allen County including last year. I stayed away from this area early on when targeting mink for this reason. I set a few stops a couple of days ago and on the second check I caught this nice male. 21.8 lbs.

Awesome catch. It is a great looking otter. Catching a river ottter in ohio makes for a great trapping season. I'm currently trying to catch my 3rd otter for the year. Sometimes it takes weeks for them to make their rounds in these creek and pond systems here in noble county I'd be very lucky to catch another by the end of season. Either way I would be happy if I did not catch another.
Congrats on catching that otter.
