It was a good convention overall, I was worried going into it, because of high gas prices and the NTA being so close a month ago, but it ended up being one of the best attended conventions we have ever had!

Thanks you to all who pitched in and helped.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all their help at the Convention. I especially want to thank Russ Collar, Bob Bucher and Jon Little for running to get all the things that I forgot and for all their work to even get this convention in Dover. I will have some "official numbers" later in the week. Need to spend some family time today. We're off to our fair if the weather holds off.
Again - THANK YOU!!!

My son and I had a great weekend . We were there all 3 days . We met some great people and I would like to thank everyone for taking time to answer all our questions . We watched some really good demos and gained info that will be used in this years season . Picked up some new traps ( grizzs and #155 conis) that will help reduce the local coon population . See ya at the Fall Meet in Lisbon .

yes it was a great convention . friday night cookout was well attended , ron and doug made some good beaver bbq and there wasn't nothing left of that whole roaster full of it .
we cooked about 150 hamburgers and not sure how many hotdogs .
thanks to all who helped and who brought stuff for the cook out ( thanks j.d for the mgd barley pops ) .

we did have to hose down the fire a little after it finally got roaring , i forgot we weren't forging steel !

big thanks to russ , bob , bob , and jon for all there local help. anyone else if i forgot them

auction saturday night was well attended and well patronized by those there. those who bought traps at it and turned around and gave them away to kids there should be commended . and those who helped raise money for the charles dobbins scholarship fund and for dream catchers should be commened as well.

i think the final amount of the auction was over $11,000.00 and thats was not counting what was raised for the dobbins scholarship or for dream catchers.

thanks goes to all the dealers and tailgaiters who came and those who do stay until the end on sunday , there are always those who can't make it until sunday or find out late about the convention . many thanks to all who helped tear down , clean up and pack stuf out.

i've looked at allen county fairgrounds twice , it will be a good place for next years convention . and for the 2009 nta convention .

mark

I had great time. Ate some beaver and found some good used traps. Nick B. helped me out with some supplies and advice. Good demos. I was planning to stay until Sunday. but had some physical problems and left early.
