Photo posting tutorial

Allright...I've been messing around with this blasted computer for the last 1/2 hour trying to figure out how to post pics off Photobucket. I've found I can copy pics to my desktop and post from there, but the pics come out small. Also, how does one post multiple pics on the some post?

Thanks,
Confounded in Darke Co.

OK

Run the cursor over the photo you want to post. Scroll down to the one that states IMG code. left click to high light it (mine come up blue) then left click and select copy. Got to the OSTA web site and then left click then select the past option. it will transfer the pics web addres to the web site and then be posted! For mutiple pics repeat the process.

on photobucket when you are on you album look in the box that says" Upload Images & Video". at the bottom of that box there is a "drop down" arrow to reduce the pic size during upload. i keep mine on 800x600 15 inch screen. once you set it, it should stay that way.

once the pic is uploaded, i use the direct link tab. just hover the mouse on the direct link and right click. choose copy. on the osta site, click on the image tab ( 4th one from the right). once it pops up hover and right click again then choose paste.

as blue stated about multiples, just hit the enter key after uploading a pic to the forum. go to photobucket and choose another, then back to osta and click the image tab again. most sites will only allow up to 5 pics per post. if you have a pictorial you want to post, just start it with a notice like"please do not reply until all 17 pics are loaded". once you get all the pics loaded, and hopefully no one has posted in between them, go back and edit out the notice. that is what i did on the dp trap page.

if it doesn't work, blame jd.

should not be to tough but it might depend on what scanner you have. if i don't know i "google" it. just do a google search like - scanning and saving pictures with a ____ scanner. it should come up with something to help you.

never thought about goggling info for that.

i did find out today at walmart that i can bring them negatives and they can put them on a disk or chip so i can load them into my computer or photo bucket . that would be a whole lot easier than me trying to scan in hundreds of photo's .

it doesn't matter on your computer how big they are. when they upload to photobucket they will automatically be resized. on photobucket on your album click the "more options". it is blue and right under the upload images tab in the center of the screen. a window will pop up. choose the 15" screen.

Mark, if you have microsoft office it has a picture editor, you might have a picture editor anyway, but try this.

Bring up any picture you have saved on your computer, right click on the picture and see what it says on the drop down list, hopefully you see an edit option, click on this and the picture will open, look on the right side and see if there are options, hopefully you see one that says re-size or compress, click on either of these and it will give you options, compress will let you just click on an application, like e-mail, or publish to web etc. the re-size will let you reduce by percentage or go to width and height etc. the pixel size will show, you can just keep playing with the size until you get it right.

Most scanners will also let you determine the size when you scan it, if you have a scan option for e-mail that will probably be about right.
