coon are moving

If you don`t have any coon sets out you`re missing the boat. Set 9 DPs on a farm i had`nt trapped yet and caught 7 boars, 10 old sets caught another 4, 23 for the week. All boars and no rubs yet.

Yes they are moving pretty good. Caught about 45 last 9 days. Only about 6 or 7 females. Few scratch backs and rubs on boars. Last couple of days 4 females and swelled up so they be mating here.

My partner Joe and I caught 3 coons, all males, out of 11 DP's today that he had set.. We set 22 more DP's today tons of sign, we are in a new spot right next to the Sandusky river and now we have 33 DP's to check tomorow. They should run very will till this real cold weather gets here. Verry little rubbing so far.

Matt and I put out a few sets Sat. We had 12 coon and 12 rats this morning . The coon were good but a couple of the rats had bite marks on them. We just got done putting them up. The rats turned out alrite as I could pin the bite marks shut on the boards. With the weather forcast that will prob. be it on the coon. Hopefully get back after the rats when the next warm spell comes along.

Gloria and I went to Kridon, Ohio to get some printing done for the OSTA. We saw a lot of coon road kills, they are moving.(not the road kills of course).
My partner Joe picked up 4 coon Sunday. This cold weather will slow them down some. We will stop soon before the are rubed bad.

Still moving pretty good. More of the females are swelled up also. Only thing that might slow them down here if we get quite a bit of snow. They got love on their mind and this cold won't bother them too much.
